THE infection rate of COVID-19 continues to rise in Malaysia as the day recorded a total of 8,290 new cases.
Selangor (2,052) is still the biggest contributor to the rising number of new cases, followed by Kelantan (851), KL (830) and Johor (762).
With the high number of new cases, also comes a high number of daily casualties with today standing at 61 deaths (total 2,552).
However, there were 4,814 recovered and discharged patients today (total 474,139).
But out of the current 72,823 active COVID-19 cases today, 808 patients are admitted to the intensive care units, with 403 of them in need of ventilator assistance. – May 28, 2021
