PERHAPS the Malaysian economy is going into ruins because some Malaysians are going to extreme levels to save up.
Recently a man went viral after he was seen driving on the road with a huge mound of his possession strapped to his car. And the car? Shockingly it was a Perodua Axia.
Looking at the amount of possession he intended to transport, people would have imagined that even a truck should encounter some difficulty. But a Perodua Axia? This is next level foolishness.
Ni bukan jimat dah ni. Ni kira kedekut dah bang. Membahayakan orang lain juga 😅 pic.twitter.com/O2BJW2jraw

Perhaps the fees of a professional mover and packer is exorbitant nowadays, hence the extreme solution. One netizen who saw the video post on X said the man won on stinginess, but lost on safety.
Another said he probably thought he was Mr Bean. Those familiar with the comedy character will note one memorable scene where he drove his signature green car with the sofa chair strapped atop.
“Another day another weird human,” said @mellurves while @najibhaidin commented that it reminded him of the story, Ali Baba Bujang Lapok.
Then there was netizen @TARISTAR8 who believed he may have been inspired by this photo:
Apparently strapping so many objects to a tiny car was not a good idea as another video embedded in the comment section showed the aftermath.
The belongings of “Mr Bean” could be seen falling to the road, forming an obstacle.
However, it appears that these were junk, from large pieces of styrofoam, bundles of black garbage bags to wooden pieces.
He was seen getting out of the car to access the damage. The brief video did not show if he had done the clean up himself or if the passing drivers helped in the situation.
According to netizen @jefrisuleiman, the man is suffering from some mental illness, and this was not the first time he did something like this.
“Apparently the locals have made several police reports against him,” said @jefrisuleiman. —May 20, 2025
