LADIES be warned. The next time you are thinking of uploading an attractive picture of yourself on social media, you may be scouted for a XXX film.
An individual has claimed of being approached by a stranger via private messaging on Instagram claiming to be a producer of Malaysia’s first adult content studio.
The producer says he randomly approaches women on social media based on their profile photos. The criteria was simply whether he found them attractive.
He explained that the film will not actually involve actual copulation but nudity is a must. The message also stated that a clear safety policy will be outlined for the actors who will be paid RM500 for three to five hours of work.
The producer went on to explain that the content will be made available on the studio’s website as well as platforms that specialise in adult content such as OnlyFans. He offered to meet up with potential talent in a public place to outline the plans for the adult movie in full.
Malaysia is a porno haven
Note that while the production and distribution of phonographic material in Malaysia is a definite no-no, news of this “production house” should come as no great shock.
It was revealed in 2022 by Pornhub – the world’s largest adult content entertainment website – that Malaysia ranked highest in Asia and fourth globally for visits to pornographic websites.
Given how some other Malaysian “models” such as Siew Pui Yi and Alice Wong (half-Malaysian) have raised their profile via adult content, others may be tempted to follow suit.
The former shot to fame when she became the first Southeast Asian to appear on the cover of Penthouse magazine. Her Instagram account boasts a staggering 22 million followers!
The latter starred a Japanese Adult Video film a few years back and also sought to raise her profile on social media with plenty of risqué pictures.
Given the tough economic climate, RM500 for half a day’s “work” may be very tempting to some. The producer has promised anonymity to these actors and given how make-up and other digital wizardry can heavily disguise a person’s identity, there will certainly be parties who will be tempted by the offer.
The reality of the internet age is easily-available porn. The above is an obvious consequence.
How Malaysians deal with this will determine if this production house is short-lived or the start of a mushrooming industry. – Dec 8, 2023
