HOME-GROWN Penthouse sensation-turned deejay (DJ) Siew Pui Yi a.k.a. MSPUIYI has recently made headlines not only for her legal battle but also for an unfortunate incident during her performance in Bali, Indonesia.
The local social media sensation who has just broken into the rank of World Top 100 Female DJs fell from the stage midway through her performance at the prestigious ShiShi Club in Bali on Wednesday (April 24) with her left ankle badly bruised from the mishap.
In a media conference on Monday (April 22), the 25-year-old Penang-born MSPUIYI revealed her filing of a civil suit against her former business partner Mentos Lai Kai Jian over the latter’s deceit and deception in persuading me to hand over about RM4.3 mil in the pre-text of resolving her income tax issue with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
“I trusted him and handed over the said amount of money to him. Subsequently, I found out that he did not resolve my income tax issue,” she pointed out in a media statement.

“Due to his action, I have suffered losses. I lodged a police report on Oct 24 last year at the at the IPD (district police headquarters) Timur Laut. The police have initiated an investigation, and we have fully cooperated with them.”
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings with the case now under the jurisdiction of the Penang High Court, MSPUIYI has remained committed to her passion and dedication to music.

The unforeseen accident has led to the cancellation of MSPUIYI’s upcoming international shows for the next two weeks, including her highly anticipated performances at W Super Club in Jakarta, Indonesia as well as engagements at Golden Tiger Clubs in Medan and Batam.
Originally scheduled for April, these events will now be postponed until June to allow MSPUIYI ample time to recover and regain her strength.
Known for her resilience and determination, MSPUIYI who turned to a career in music as a DJ after dropping her sensual public image by quitting OnlyFans at end-2022 has nevertheless assured her fans and supporters that she remains undeterred by these setbacks.
