HOMEGROWN halal-certified and 100% vegan skincare brand, Dr Irma Skincare, has launched a new premium range natural-based skincare called “Dermoseries – Perfecting Skincare”.
This new series is made with the finest natural ingredients and can be used by both men and women of all ages and skin types, especially with sensitive skin and eczema.
Founded by Bumiputera entrepreneur and practising dentist Dr Irma Shida Abu Samah, Dr Irma Skincare prioritises ingredients and approaches that are both religiously-compliant and environmentally-conscious, thus allowing anyone to use the products worry-free.
“The ingredients feed your skin and that’s why we emphasise good quality natural products that can help skin look better now as well as in the future,” Dr Irma Shida said. “Our skin cells shed throughout the day, so constant and consistent care is important and by using the best and safest ingredients, we help you keep your skin even healthier.”
As a perfect skincare regime does not need to have 10 different steps, the new Dermoseries offers a two-step solution to a younger and healthier skin.

“With the Dermoseries, we want to prove that having perfect skin doesn’t have to be complicated,” Dr Irma Shida remarked. “That’s why we have just two products that do the job effectively regardless of gender or skin type.”
Using finest natural raw materials
Dr Irma Skincare infuses au naturel hydrating, firming and smoothing ingredients in the Dermoseries like virgin coconut oil and soy extract while managing to keep the formula pleasantly lightweight with a delightful scent.
The skincare company utilises only the finest natural raw materials including fruit extract, flowers and plants imported from the UK and Canada as the skincare company truly values what nature has already provided us.
In addition, the Dermoseries steer clear of harmful ingredients, especially sulphates, parabens, and fragrances to provide the most comforting and risk-free skincare experience. These ingredients that are often present in mainstream skincare products can lead to skin irritation, redness, dryness, itching, hives and inflammation.
“I believe passion shows in our final products and ultimately on the skin of our loyal brand use,” Dr Irma Shida commented.
With the ongoing pandemic, Dr Irma Skincare also has a line of hand sanitiser sprays dubbed, “Sanitizers SuperWangi” that effectively kills 99.99% of viruses and germs, including COVID-19. It comes in five types of scents in an easy-to-carry bottle – floral, citrus, fruity nectar, sweet and lavender rose.
How it all started
In 2016, Dr Irma Shida was inspired to create her namesake brand after going through a terrible phase of bad skin and not being able to find any existing skincare brands in the market that worked for her.
Together with a team of certified chemists, the Dr Irma Skincare brand was born with the express goal of creating the right skincare formulation that is safe to be used by people from all walks of life.
On top of her entrepreneurial goals to have the brand widely known as a homegrown Bumiputera premium personal care line, Dr Irma Shida also aims to aspire more households and younger generations to generate an active side income by welcoming them to register as a drop shipper or a sales agent.
To date, the brand has onboarded more than 50 drop shippers and sales agents.
With its presence in the Malaysian and Indonesian market, Dr Irma aims to expand its reach to Singapore by 2022. – Aug 12, 2021
