THERE are rules and regulations when it comes to entering a government building, as a man recently found out when he tried to bring his dog into the State Development Corporation of Selangor (PKNS) building in Seksyen 14, Shah Alam last Thursday (Oct 17).
According to the video posted on X by @update1111, the dog owner was seen “debating” with a group of security guards stationed at the building regarding the matter of allowing his dog into the premises.
In the video, the dog was tied to a branch of a small tree on a raised podium outside the government building, obediently waiting for his owner.
The man was not allowed by the security personnel to bring his dog into the premises.

However, the man, as shown in the video, rushed outside the building and attempted to bring his pet dog into the building, forgoing the security guard’s instruction.
As a result, the man was barred by the security guard.
The man’s callous actions enraged netizens who accused him of blatantly disregarding racial and religious sensitivities while others had commented on how well-behaved the dog was throughout the entire incident.
Netizens also took the opportunity to stress that no animals – yes, not even cats or sugar gliders – were allowed into government premises.
Meanwhile, Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said police have initiated investigations into the incident, which had since gone viral.
According to Mohd Iqbal, three reports were filed regarding the incident, leading to the opening of two investigation papers under Section 323 and Section 290 of the Penal Code, as well as Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act (1998). – Oct 23, 2024
