THAT blue skies denote a new horizon has prompted Prestariang Bhd which prides itself as a global company that provides 21st century talent and technology services platform to assume a soothingly-poetical name, Awanbiru Technology Bhd.
With effect from tomorrow (Dec 29), all Prestariang shares will be traded and quoted on the main board of Bursa Malaysia under the new stock name “AWANTEC”.
Founded in 2003 and listed in 2011, Prestariang assumes the new identity following a corporate rebranding exercise to align itself as a digital transformer with a future that pivots on digitalisation.
“We are shifting our business horizon in the direction of cloud computing and blue ocean strategies,” its president/group CEO Dr Abu Hasan Ismail pointed out. “Our investment and expansion into cloud-based services will allow us to adapt and align ourselves to fulfil new customer’s demand in the new market environment.”
Over the past 12 months, the company has been rebuilding its core business in technology and talent businesses with new product offerings and services.
“The need for multi-cloud management services and system integration are more pertinent in today’s marketplace, hence expanding our service from just managing licensing to cloud services will add value to our business,” justified Abu Hasan.
Having pivoted into providing multi-cloud management services and lifelong learning talent lifecycle to achieve the digitalisation of Malaysia, the company has recently clinched a RM50 mil contract to implement the Selangor Kerjaya Programme aimed at providing skills training and job placement for 10,000 job-seeking Malaysians.
Expanding from just managing licensing to cloud services, AWANTEC sees greater future with new partners of similar synergies including Amazon, Google, SAP and Huawei, among others.
Its cloud-based products and services are set to include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platforms as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Anything as a Service (XaaS). – Dec 28, 2020
