MASkargo partners with Ethiopian Airlines, expanding its reach to Europe

MAB Kargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) has announced Ethiopian Airlines as its new business partner for its operations at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

MASkargo chief executive officer Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh said the partnership would help MasKargo in expanding its reach into Europe, thus offering its customers options for their cargo movement.

The two companies would partner on a weekly service, utilising Ethiopian’s Boeing 777 aircraft on the route of Brussels-Dubai-Kuala Lumpur-Brussels, offering 80 tonnes payload out of Kuala Lumpur, MASkargo said in a statement.

The first flight from the new partnership, Ethiopian Airlines freighter flight ET3638, with 96 tonnes of cargo, landed at KLIA  at 2.30pm yesterday.

It was greeted by MASkargo operations general manager Jamaludin Ismail in a low-key affair, minus the usual pomp which is normally accorded to an inaugural landing due to Covid-19. – April 9, 2020, Bernama
