Matrix Connexion awarded 2024 Google Cloud sales and services partner of the year for Malaysia

MATRIX Connexion Sdn Bhd (MatrixC), a leading force in the Malaysian cloud computing business for over a decade, has been recently conferred the Google 2024 Cloud Sales and Services Partner of the Year Award which marks its ongoing spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines the industry.

The recognition is in line with MatrixC’s achievements in the Google Cloud ecosystem for having supported global customers throughout their entire cloud journey.

As a services partner, MatrixC is committed to help customers with their end-to-end, AI (artificial intelligence)-enabled solutions and services in data, IT (information technology) infrastructure as well as application modernisation, security, work transformation and sustainability.

MatrixC CEO Sean Tay highlighted the company’s pivotal projects, including its partnership with the Education Ministry (MOE) under the Digital Learning Initiative which has been the highlight of its journey.

“Implementing Google Workspace for 5.5 million users has revolutionised digital education in Malaysia while enhancing the capabilities of students and educators across the country,” revealed Tay.

“Our commitment to innovation was further demonstrated in our deployment of mobile device management for over 160,000 devices and the creation of a centralised Google Cloud platform for 5.5 million users in 10,200 schools.”

In 2022, MatrixC had its proudest moment when the company successfully orchestrated the Malaysian Federal government’s migration to Google Workspace.

“Completed in a record three months, this monumental achievement marked the largest single commercial deal for Google Workspace in the non-education sector and underscored our position as a leader in the industry,” shared Tay.
