MGB to transform Kertih Terengganu Industrial Park into modern economic region

MGB BHD has launched a visionary project to develop Kertih Terengganu Industrial Park (KTIP) in collaboration with Terengganu Inc, TI Properties Sdn Bhd and Retro Court Sdn Bhd.

The 1,007-acre industrial estate with a land tenure leasehold of 99 years has great potential for growth and opportunities for heavy industries.

KTIP sits on 1,007 acres of land that is catered for heavy industries usage with a 99-year leasehold land tenure

The highly connected region is also poised to become a socioeconomic hub that is attractive to both local and foreign investors.

The oil-rich area – which boasts a gross development value (GDV) of RM680 mil – is being progressively developed into a fully integrated bio-economy hub for heavy industries in Kertih, Terengganu.

KTIP is catered for all kinds of heavy industries

Investors are able to choose land situated in a vast region and have the flexibility to construct a factory or plant to their specifications with room for expansion in the future.

The region also comes with ample access to a skilled and talented workforce that is recruitable through Industry 4.0 Programmes.

Additionally, KTIP is a highly attractive region as it is located in the East Coast Economic Region’s (ECER) Special Economic Zone, allowing tax incentives for investors.

KTIP is also a historically connected region that takes advantage of global maritime trade, with Kemaman Port and Kertih Port located near the area.

KTIP strategic location with easy access and connectivity

Its location also makes it favourable for reaching out to markets in Asia-Pacific, Europe, America and Far East.

Furthermore, the East Coast Railway (ECRL) projects links the East Coast to Port Klang on the West Coast.

Along with trade routes available by both sea and rail, there is a highly integrated road system that supports the transport of industrial goods and general traffic. These logistical facilities handily provide access from KTIP to all parts of Peninsular Malaysia.

Furthermore, the area has high speed internet broadband coverage, paving the way for more connected businesses.

KTIP is also situated in the East Coast which possesses a well-developed infrastructure with strong support services, making it suitable for businesses in the area.

Through MGB Bhd’s efforts with Terengganu Inc, the region is set to become an opportunity for key industrial growth that will be attractive to both local and international stakeholders.

The land – situated in a strategic location for trade, natural resources, and economic benefits – will allow it to become an active and technologically modern economic hub.
