AVANADE, the world’s leading Microsoft expert, has appointed Megawaty Khie as its new regional managing director for Southeast Asia (SEA) with immediate effect.
In this role, Megawaty will be responsible for driving the growth of Avanade’s business and expanding Avanade’s position as the leading Microsoft solutions provider across the SEA region – including Malaysia.
Megawaty will also lead Avanade’s team of digitally skilled professionals and innovators across SEA by combining global scale with local expertise to create value and drive meaningful impact for customers, ecosystem partners and local communities in the AI (artificial intelligence) era.
Based in Singapore, Megawaty will report to Avanade’s Asia-Pacific president Bhavya Kapoor.

She joins Avanade from Google where she led channels and strategic partnerships for the Google Cloud business in SEA and launched Google’s Cloud Region in Jakarta during her time as regional director for Indonesia and Malaysia.
With 30 years of experience spearheading growth across the enterprise, SMB (small medium business) and consumer segments, Megawaty who holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Marketing had also previously held a variety of leadership roles at Microsoft, SAP, IBM, HP, Dell and Singtel.
Avanade has an established presence in Malaysia with continued investments over the years.
This includes the launch of its Digital Innovation Studio; the opening of Avanade’s first SEA Generative AI Lab in Kuala Lumpur and more recently, the introduction of seven new Microsoft-powered AI services to help mid-market organisations in Malaysia accelerate growth and emerge as market leaders in the AI era.
In 2024, Avanade secured a multi-year partnership with EDOTCO Group to digitalise and enhance the group’s financial and operational efficiency that will improve customer experience.
