PEOPLE have come to realise that the hygiene level of food prepared outside may not be the highest.
High end hotels and five star restaurants have every reason to uphold their cleanliness, although some of them don’t when spot checks are conducted.
But with the common stalls by the streets, now that is where things get really interesting.
In a video posted on X by netizen amighul deghaman, a migrant worker could be seen washing a kitchen wok using water from the drain.
Kenapa lah dorang ni suka sangat basuh pakai air longkang 🤢 pic.twitter.com/aDVFnfQS3e

To add nausea to the vomit-inducing video, the water was not crystal clear to suggest its cleanliness, but of a yellowish colour suggesting that it was tainted.
The video recorder was a lady who could also be heard narrating it. According to her, they were selling roti canai.
Upon realising that he was being recorded, the man ceased his action and walked away, likely to return later to continue his disgusting work.
No further information can be derived from the short video or the comment section, such as the vital information of where this roti canai shop was located.
We suppose most of the opinions from the viewers can be summed up by these two comments.
Another netizen was quick to ask for the whereabouts of this horrifyingly dirty roti canai stall.
But on the bright side, anyone who patronises this roti canai stall can raise their immune system assuming they survive the food poisoning in the first place.
Examining the situation from every angle, perhaps the migrant worker could have done so due to the lack of water supply. Regardless, that is not an excuse.
Ignorance is bliss. When people do not see the stuff that happens behind the scene, all they know is the tasty, sweet roti canai which seems to be made with some special ingredient.
In this case, it is drain water. Now that you have read this article, go enjoy your supper. – Oct 8, 2024
