KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture believes that Malaysia can still achieve its tourist arrival figures of 30 million for Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020) despite the coronavirus woes affecting the region, and its biggest tourist market, China.
Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi said he was confident that the targeted number would be achieved.
“The current coronavirus woe is only temporary and tourists would return in numbers after the episode ends,” he told a press conference after a joint briefing session by the ministry and the Ministry of Health in Putrajaya today. – Jan 28, 2020, Bernama
