THE Malaysia Leadership Summit (MLS) returns to Kuala Lumpur after a two-year hiatus by gathering almost 500 delegates for a day of learning, sharing and connecting for a good cause.
From there, a total of over RM150,000 was generated from the ticket sales for the summit, which will benefit charities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Malaysia and other parts of Southeast Asia.
Held on July 21 at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam, the MLS was organized by global social enterprise Leaderonomics, in partnership with Together We Change The World (TWCCTW), an organization dedicated to empowering an educating women and children in Southeast Asia.
As the theme of the summit was ‘The Future of Work: Innovate, Influence, Inspire’, the MLS aimed to spark conversations and gain insight on the different perspectives from the speakers as well as the panel of experts and CEOs that were present.
“I believe that from the summit, the participants were able to learn that change is inevitable and that we all have to find a way to work in these transitionary times, that there are different tools available and different practices that we can learn to apply for ourselves and that we are all in this together, whether you’re the CEO of a large company, an SME or a start-up,” said Leaderonomics founder and CEO Roshan Thiran.
Meanwhile, TWCCTW founder Scott Friedman emphasised that the summit allowed the participants to realise the different ways that success can be defined and how people can go about achieving it.
The Summit, sponsored by Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) and SP Setia Bhd, featured 12 local and international speakers sharing insights into how the world of work has changed, and how businesses and individuals can thrive in a post-pandemic workplace.
The attendees of MLS included business leaders and C-suite leaders from various Malaysian and global organisations and included about 150 NGO and community leaders who were provided complimentary access to grow, network and learn alongside business professionals. – July 29, 2022
