AT the current momentum that the COVID-19 infections are going and the high number of deaths recorded, Malaysia should be gearing up for worse times to come.
As of today, Selangor remains as the biggest contributor to the nation’s high number of new COVID-19 cases, coming in at 1,275.
Standing at a total of 3,780 new cases today, the country also broke its own record of highest number of fatalities at 36 within the last 24 hours (total 1,902).
However, according to the Health Ministry, there were 3,990 recoveries within that time period (totalling at 426,319).
Additionally, there are 520 COVID-19 patients in intensive care units and 272 of them requiring ventilator support. – May 16, 2021
