MALAYSIA recorded 3,079 new COVID-19 cases on Friday (Jan 14), with 267 of them being imported cases.
According to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country since the pandemic started now stands at 2,789,593.
The site also showed that 3,052 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, with a total of 2,729,943 patients discharged since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
There were also 12 fatalities recorded with two patients brought in dead (BID), bringing the death toll to 31,762.
Meanwhile, the total number of active cases in the country is now at 40,558, with 81.5% of them (33,075) are being subjected to home quarantine.
Additionally, 204 people are being treated in intensive care units (ICUs), with 95 of them in need of ventilator support. – Jan 15, 2022
