Muhyiddin’s doctor appointed Ancom Logistics director

RESPIRATORY physician Ampikaipakan S Kandiah has been appointed an independent non-executive director of Ancom Logistics Bhd (ALB) effective July 24.

Ampikaipakan is also part of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s medical team.

He signed off on a June 16 letter denying the contents of a Sarawak Report article that claimed Muhyiddin breached self-quarantine rules to seek medical treatment abroad.

He is also among the advisers of the International Advisory Council for Clinical Governance at IHH Healthcare Bhd, which is also listed on the Bursa.

ALB has been in the news recently as it acquired security solutions provider S5 Holdings Inc under a corporate exercise that will ultimately see a reverse takeover of ALB.

Also, under the restructuring, ALB would sell its core logistics and warehousing business to its 50.25% owned Nylex (Malaysia) Bhd.

ALB would dispose of its unit Synergy Trans-Link Sdn Bhd, which is involved in warehousing and logistics, to Nylex at a valuation to be agreed by both parties. –  July 26, 2020
