“My condition before even considering offer to share viewpoints on PAS-rule state pact SG4”

I THANK Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar for stating that the four state governments led by Perikatan Nasioanal, (PN) known as “SG4” (State-Government 4) are open to receiving viewpoints from anyone, including from me.

Before I can consider Samsuri’s offer, PAS president Tan Sri Hadi Awang should either substantiate or withdraw his various wild and preposterous allegations against me – that I am anti-Malay, anti-Islam, anti-royalty, promote Islamophobia and a communist.

It has been nearly a year that I had challenged Hadi to either substantiate or withdraw his various wild and preposterous allegations against me but he had pretended to be dumb, blind and deaf while vociferous on other issues.

I hope Samsuri, who was Hadi’s former political secretary could get Hadi to substantiate or withdraw his various wild and preposterous allegations against me before I could consider his offer.

[Editor’s Note: On Saturday (Oct 21), Samsuri has welcomed all political leaders, including DAP veteran Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang to provide their views and inputs on ways to develop the four states controlled by the Perikatan Nasional (PN) pact.

“The formation of the SG4 is an ‘added value’ (to the existing efforts by the ministries and its agencies to lure investment) in achieving our targets ( to develop the four states under the rule of the PN pact).

“We are open to views, suggestions and inputs from any quarters (on ways to develop the four states).

“If anyone, including Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang, wishes to provide their ideas, we will welcome it. This is to prove how open we are to ideas to develop these four states,” he told reporters at the 69th Muktamar (general assembly).]

Hadi is one of those leaders responsible for the view that Malaysians who advocate that the Federal Constitution is more secular than theocratic is anti-Malay, anti-Islam and anti-royalty. Would Hadi declare his stand clearly on this issue?

The first three prime ministers (PM) Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein Onn were of the view that the Malaysian Constitution were more secular than Islamic or theocratic. Would Hadi consider the first three premiers of Malaysia as anti-Malay, anti-Islam and anti-royalty?

Would Hadi be the first to counter the argument that those who believe in a secular Malaysia as anti-Malay, anti-Islam, anti-royalty and promoting Islamophobia as some 30 of the 57 member countries of Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) are listed as “secular countries” by the free encyclopedia Wikipedia? – Oct 23, 2023

Veteran lawmaker and retired DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang was Malaysia’s longest-serving opposition leader (29 years on three separate occasions).
