Najib wishes Rafizi speedy recovery upon news of having a heart attack

ECONOMY Minister Rafizi Ramli is reported to be in a stable condition after suffering from a heart ailment recently, said Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa in a statement.

News of the minister being unwell and getting treatment at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) was spreading yesterday on social media platforms but there was no official confirmation until today.

Opponents of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) regime appear to have been the first to post on Rafizi’s health condition, with some accusing the Perikatan Nasional (PN) supporters of lying or of badmouthing the minister.

“Praise to Allah, two days ago I was informed that he is getting better and god willing, soon, he can perform his task.

“We pray for the best for him,” Dr Zaliha  answered briefly during a press conference after attending the Health Ministry Training Institute (ILKKM) Convocation Ceremony for the Peninsula Zone at ILKKM Sultan Azlan Shah today.

Meanwhile, jailed former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak posted a message mentioning Rafizi on the X platform.

(May Rafizi get well soon and be given good health by Allah SWT.)

It is learnt that the Pandan MP was rushed to the UMMC after he suffered a heart attack.

Moreover, Rafizi is under the observation of doctors after undergoing a heart stent surgery procedure.

He is the second minister to have been rushed to a hospital for an ailment after the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin bin Ayub who served as domestic trade and costs of living minister. Salahuddin passed away hours after being admitted to the hospital. – Oct 21, 2023
