MORE than 10 million people (31.1% of the country’s population) have successfully received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as of yesterday, according to Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

From an infographic that was posted on his Twitter account, it showed that a total of 16,707,566 people had received their first dose and some are still waiting for their second dose appointment.

This puts the cumulative number of doses administered under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 26,851,765 (as of Aug 13).

In terms of percentage, 71.4% of the adult population has received the first dose and more than half of that (43.3%) completed the second dose.

Adham also mentioned that 462,860 doses of the vaccines were administered yesterday, with 162,182 of them being the first dose and 300,678 are second doses. – Aug 14, 2021
