NetApp appoints Henry Kho as area VP and GM for Greater China, ASEAN and South Korea

INTELLIGENT data infrastructure company NetApp has appointed Henry Kho as its new area vice-president and general manager for its business in Greater China, ASEAN and South Korea (GCASK).

In his new role, Kho is responsible for driving the company’s overall business strategy and leading its go-to-market activities in this region. His priorities include strengthening NetApp’s partner ecosystem and reinforcing its leadership in the hybrid cloud and all-flash domains.

“GCASK is a region marked by its vast diversity and growth. Henry’s strategic vision and profound grasp of the complex business landscape position him perfectly to help organisations seize the data transformation opportunities ahead,” NetApp Asia Pacific senior vice-president and general manager Andrew Sotiropoulos pointed out in a media statement.

“With Henry leading the charge, I am confident we will solidify our standing as the intelligent data infrastructure company in the region, empowering our customers to leverage data simply, securely and sustainably across their entire estate.”

Meanwhile, Kho who is an information technology (IT) graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS) is thrilled to embark on this new chapter of his career with NetApp.

“This is especially at a time when AI (artificial intelligence) adoption is rapidly accelerating and data-centric business models are becoming paramount,” he shared.

“Together with the talented teams across the region, I’m committed to helping our customers optimise their data infrastructure and unlock their data’s full potential to drive productivity, innovation and impactful business outcomes.”

Kho brings over two decades of experience in the technology industry, coupled with a background in leading regional teams and forging strategic partnerships.

Before joining NetApp, he served as the division vice-president for the Asia Pacific region at Sprinklr where he successfully led a multi-market team in elevating the region to become the company’s top-performing area.

Kho has also held prominent leadership positions at Salesforce and founded Infinix, a software consultancy business in the earlier stage of his career. – May 7, 2024
