Food has always played a significant role in culture, at times being a defining feature of it. Therefore people are known to be proud of the very meals that sustain their society.
In a recent post on X, netizen Out of Context Human Race challenged the world to show him a better breakfast.
Show me a better breakfast in the world, I’ll wait. pic.twitter.com/Qb3g3ykgFC

At the same time, he attached a photo of a sumptuous English breakfast in the form of eggs, hash browns, mushrooms and sausages. A formidable contender indeed.
However, the thing about the internet community was that you never challenged them on something.
With the amount of creative, innovative and obnoxious trolls on the cyberspace, expect the challenge to be met with many interesting “contents.”
The first challenger was from Greece, who submitted a breakfast consisting of coffee and a cigarette. Can we argue with that? Certainly not.
Netizen M2 scored comedy gold by posting the same photo as Out of Context Human Race, but with some “modifications.”
Then there was Obialbert who was obviously an advocate for eating green.
But wait, there are also philosophers within the comment section as seen with DrYark who said, “A better breakfast is no breakfast. Fast until lunch.”
Malaysia appears to have a representative too, from $jobe || who suggested the iconic nasi lemak.
The comment section is rife with the many nationalities showing off their very own version of a better breakfast:
The list goes on and we are getting hungry just looking at all the delicious submissions.
Regardless of the culinary joys shown here, there is a lesson to be learned and it is not related to cooking.
Everyone has their very own standard of what constitutes greatness, and that is completely alright.
The celebration of one’s unique identity is what makes the world go round.
So enjoy your breakfast, whether it be a protein-packed platter, or boiled vegetables or even a shrivelled caterpillar on a piece of tofu. You do you. —Jan 19, 2025
