Netizens ask Najib whether Kajang Prison has a KFC outlet

FORMER premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak is the subject of a debate on the X platform after he complained about the price of KFC chicken in a post on his Facebook account.The convict said while KFC Malaysia is owned by Johor Corp, a state government company in Johor, KFC prices have significantly increased since 2018 after the implementation of SST to replace GST.The Snack Plate price rose from RM12.50 in 2017 to RM20.99 now. The dinner plate price increased from RM15.90 to RM25.99, he stated, adding that many claimed the chicken piece size had become smaller.

His comments gained attention on the X platform, with netizens asking many questions. They asked him whether he ate KFC in jail or whether there is a KFC outlet in the Kajang prison.

Others joked that they admire the time taken for his research with regard to the prices of fast food restaurants. They also asked if he used a particular delivery service, like FoodPanda or GrabFood. – Feb 11, 2024
