Netizens chide RPK for hailing motor-mouth Kedah MB as a “hero”

MERCENARY blogger Raja Petra Bin Raja Kamarudin (RPK) found himself chastised by netizens for his one-liner tweet that caretaker Kedah menteri besar (MB) Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor “will be a hero when he is charged for allegedly insulting Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah”.

“Shaming the sultan regarded as hero by the PN (Perukatan Nasional) tribe? This is really pain in the brain” berated netizen Naj (@najibhaidin) in a response to the fugitive blogger who is believed to be residing in Manchester, UK.

“This is clearly a breach of two principles of the Rukun Negara (National Principles), namely ‘Loyalty to King and Country’ and ‘Good Behaviour and Morality’,” reminded🔺IZZ#pendapat masing2 (@IZZ9494).

For context, the PAS warlord who is also Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director is expected to be charged at the Selayang Sessions Court at 9am today over his recent remarks that allegedly insulted the Sultan Sharafuddin.

According to the court’s cause list, Sanusi who is also the Kedah PAS deputy commissioner is scheduled to be charged in separate courts before judges Nor Rajiah Mat Zin and Osman Affendi Mohd Shalleh.

Sanusi was investigated for perpetuating 3R (race, religion and royalty) sentiments under the Sedition Act and Section 504 of the Penal Code with intentional insult to provoke breach of peace.

On Sunday (July 16), the caretaker menteri besar had apologised on a Facebook post to the Selangor ruler over his remarks at a political talk in Selangor. However, Sultan Sharafuddin decreed yesterday (July 17) that the matter concerning Sanusi’s speech remains unresolved despite the apology.

This decree came in an official statement, after the ruler granted separate audiences to Selangor PAS chief Datuk Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Sanusi was seen comparing the Kedah sultan and his Selangor counterpart whom he alleged had chosen a chow kia (literally ‘bad child’ in Hokkien) MB.

Netizen Zain (@azim_zainul) teased RPK for having forgotten about his homeland and only know “how to shower his loyalty to King Charles (British king) and make fish and chips his staple ever since becoming a Malaysian fugitive”.

“Come back to Malaysia if you want to be a hero, perhaps a bigger hero … this is better than to hide in UK … after all, many of your loyal fans are in Malaysia, not UK,” suggested Milan (@Leong36862).

Perhaps Qrious (@BluCroozer) offered the darndest thought: “Now Sanusi can also run to UK. Nothing to worries as RPK is there to protect you.” – July 18, 2023
