A POST on the X platform stated that PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang’s health is getting better, allowing him to resume his weekly routine of delivering religious lectures at the Rusila Mosque.
The post attracted a lot of responses from netizens who were angered that he was absent during last week’s opening of the Parliament for the year 2024.
His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar graced the official opening of the first meeting of the third session of the 15th Parliament. Also present was Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah. Their Majesties were greeted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
Also present were the two Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Dewan Rakyat speaker Datuk Johari Abdul and Dewan Negara president Datuk Mutang Tagal. All the Opposition MPs were present at the Parliament except Hadi.
Later, it was disclosed that Hadi was ill and could not attend this very important date on the Parliament’s calendar.
Some X users are poking fun at Hadi and others are reminding the audience how Hadi was also sick when police wanted to interrogate him in the past.

Another user said if Hadi can start to give ‘speeches’ at mosques, he can also attend Parliament. Hadi has earned the sobriquet ‘kaki ponteng’ on social media for his prolonged absence from the August Parliament.

Meanwhile, another user on X was more sarcastic in the reply, saying that they met a ‘bomoh’ who gave a tip on how to get Hadi not to be sick, that is to whisper in his ears that there is a meeting for a backdoor government to be formed. That will bring him out of his sickness. – March 2, 2024
