FORMER think tank founder-turned-Perikatan Nasional (PN) politician Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan found his attempt to belittle Economic Affairs Minister Rafizi Ramli as “arrogant and incompetent” backfired on him with netizens berated him to watch his words.
For context, the former founder CEO of Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) who is now the first term Bersatu-PN MP for Tasik Gelugor has urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to remove Pandan MP Rafizi who had earlier tweeted that he intended “to silence” PN lawmakers with a detailed explanation of the price control mechanism after his recent remark became an issue.
While proposing Rafizi to be replaced by Titiwangsa MP and former Finance Minister II (2016-2018) Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Wan Saiful in his Facebook post further lambasted the Pakatan Harapan (PH)-Barisan Nasional (BN) government for allegedly practising “revenge politics” against their critics.
Commenting on Malaysiakini, subscriber Mr Ratnam raised the issue of semantic in which he reckoned that Wan Saiful “needs to understand English correctly”.
Subscriber One deemed Wan Saiful himself as arrogant for calling for Rafizi’s sacking, more so with “all the incompetence piling up in his party” while Anonymous 13928521937351840 chided Wan Saiful for being “plain kurang ajar (no manners) for ordering the PM to axe Rafizi from his Cabinet line-up.
Subscriber Thunderbolt nailed it by telling Wan Saiful to refrain from giving his opinion for the more “you open your mouth the more you sound like a fool”.
Subscriber Leon Moch is astonished that Wan Saiful who had failed to contribute positively to the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) dared to criticise someone who is able perform on his job.
Subscriber BPOBBYO summed up Wan Saiful’s dilemma by enlightening him that both “the PN and even BN administration failed very badly at managing this nation and there was not a squeak from you”. – Dec 30, 2022
