Netizens say Tun M’s alliance with PN is a mere rebranding of himself

FORMER prime minister (PM) Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has aligned himself with Perikatan Nasional (PN) or to be more precise, with PAS as an adviser. The announcement that he was advising the PAS on the states under its control did not go down well with the supporters of his opponents.Netizens are saying he has now been involved with all the existing Malay political factions in the country. From Barisan Nasional (BN) and UMNO to PN and PAS he was also a Bersatu leader. He was a Pakatan Harapan (PH) PM from 2018 to 2020 altogether. His joining the PN as an adviser has riled up many on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) and they say it is just Dr Mahathir rebranding himself to remain relevant.According to reports, just a year after Dr Mahathir called the PAS a party of infidels, the Islamists have now appointed Dr Mahathir as their advisor on Sept 14, 2023.

(He’s just trying to get attention in the news because Musa Aman is about to become the PH Sabah chief. He’s attempting to use this issue to grab the attention of Anwar and Zahid while criticising Dr Mahathis and PAS.

(Salleh can’t attract local and foreign investors who can invest a significant amount of cash in Sabah, but he’s busy with matters concerning the four states under PAS.)

The latest news reports from Sabah however, say the former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman will not lead Sabah PH. – Sept 16, 2023
