Netizens slam Opposition for talks about Sheraton Move 2.0

PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s vote of confidence at the Parliament yesterday has opened a can of worms for the Opposition, and netizens are now criticising the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition for a perceived attempt at another “backdoor” government which netizens are calling “Sheraton Move 2.0” on Twitter.

Irate netizens have taken to the social media platform to lambast the Opposition for their limited issues up for debate at the Dewan Rakyat, saying that the lawmakers were only good at accusing others without evidence while unable to debate about more crucial issues at hand.

They were responding to news reports that the Opposition bloc continues to raise questions about the number of legislators in the 222-seat Parliament who supported Anwar despite the vote of confidence yesterday.

According to Opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, the Opposition remains ready to take over as ruling government “when the time comes” and that “it can be any time; tomorrow, next week or next election”.

“Already [two] PN MPS stated openly in Parliament [there is going to be] Sheraton 2.0,” said a concerned @paultantk who also called PN’s desperation to form government when the time comes “absolutely disgusting”.

“But on the first day that Parliament sits, it seems that [the] PN [ministers are] more like idiots. Hopefully they will improve soon and not continue being idiots forever”). – Dec 20, 2022
