SOME netizens are surprised after seeing a BMW electric vehicle (EV) allegedly being charged with a three-pin plug.
While some questioned whether the owner of the car could afford the parking fees and charging fees at regular EV charging bays, others thought it was inefficient to charge a car with a three-pin plug.

According to some reports, a three-pin plug can be used to charge an EV vehicle, but it should be reserved for occasional or emergency use.
A dedicated home wall box is much better for safety, faster charging times, and is cost efficient. However, a netizen on X debunked the ordeal.
The user said the mall in question permits customers with EVs to use their three-pin plugs though the charging speed may not be as fast as standard chargers.
Despite clarifications, users remain sceptical. Some have criticised the vehicle owner, suggesting that wealth does not always align with responsible behavior.
Others have defended the owner, emphasising that no wrongdoing was committed.
Some unkind comments suggested cutting the cables but other X users responded, stating these comments were unnecessary and crude.
Some parking areas may restrict EVs from using their three-pin sockets, while others allow it.
It’s important not to jump to conclusions and create unnecessary misunderstandings. —Dec 22, 2024
