This year, Baume & Mercier offers men’s timepieces featuring classic, discreet elegance of the Classima collection.
The brand extends the collection with three new men’s models — Classima chronograph complete calendar, Classima dual time and Classima small seconds that reinforce the exceptional watchmaking character of this emblematic line.
Each of the models features a luminous deep blue dial – a widely popular shade among watch designers – enhanced with a “grain d’orge” decor. With self-winding mechanical calibre, it can be admired through the sapphire case back of the 42mm steel case. The oscillating weight is adorned with Côtes de Genève, snailed decors and Baume & Mercier characteristic Phi logo.
In the Classima chronograph complete calendar, Baume & Mercier chose to combine two useful features — chronograph and complete calendar. It’s a dual complication in a beautiful world of traditional watchmaking. Besides display the chronograph functions and hours, minutes and small seconds at 9 o’clock, it also features a calendar. The 24-hour indicator makes a clear distinction between day and night.
Classima dual time is in a class of its own and considered essential for the world’s globe trotters. With the dual time complication, the timepieces own an additional central hand that indicates a second-time zone elegantly and legibly.
While the local time – hours, minutes and seconds is shown on three classical primary sides, the second time zone is indicated by the red hand that ticks around a two-tone scale with 24-hour graduations.
The refined detail, Classima small seconds, which consists of a central hand that moves around the dial each minute. This model is completed by the display of the date an aperture, with this useful feature a tasteful addition to this elegant yet understated Classima.
Each model is available on a matte alligator strap with broad square scales or a steel bracelet for a more distinctive and sport-inspired character.
