WHILE the number of new COVID-19 cases have steadily gone down, the number of casualties continue to increase.
Today (Mon, Aug 30), Malaysia recorded a total of 19,628 new infections, with Selangor bringing 3,567 new infections out of that number.
The number of patients dying is slowly reaching the 300 mark, with today registering 295 deaths (total 16,382).
However, the number of patient recovery continues to remain high with today having 21,257 patients being discharged (total 1,443,262).
Unfortunately, there are still 1,033 patients admitted in intensive care units (ICUs) with 476 of them in need of ventilation support. – Aug 30, 2021
