MALAYSIA recorded 4,334 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday (Dec 18), with 28 of them being imported cases.
According to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country since the pandemic started now stands at 2,705,508.
The site also showed that 5,098 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, with a total of 2,625,245 patients discharged since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
There were also 18 fatalities recorded with four patients brought in dead (BID), bringing the death toll to 31,044.
The total number of active cases in the country is now at 55,475, with 83.7% of them (46,457) are being subjected to home quarantine.
Additionally, 400 people are being treated in intensive care units (ICUs), with 198 COVID-19 patients in need of ventilator support. – Dec 18, 2021
