New COVID-19 cases still on the high note, Sarawak numbers surged

FOLLOWING the recent Health Ministry’s detection of three clusters in Sarawak, the state’s number of new COVID-19 has surged significantly, climbing to the second place as the highest contributor in terms of the country’s infection rate.

Despite still not being higher than Selangor (455), Sarawak (217) managed to push aside both Penang (139) and Johor (103) from the top two and three.

Today, there are 1294 new COVID-19 cases reported, with five deaths, as reported by the Ministry (total 1,283).

But at least, the number of recovery patients also increased since the last 24-hours, standing at 1,442 today (total 332,443).

Despite that, 168 are still stuck in intensive care units and 78 patients still require ventilation support. – Apr 2, 2021
