New MIC twin towers’ groundbreaking ceremony takes place on Monday

THE Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) is organising a groundbreaking ceremony for a brand new party headquarters, a surprise indeed given the current state of affairs for the MIC on the local political scene.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the MIC building will take place at the MIC HQ car park and will be attended by MIC president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to officiate at the event tomorrow.

Moreover, the new MIC building will have two towers. One of the towers will be a hotel and office complex, according to an MIC source,

The other tower will have a condominium. The 44-storey buildings will also have a conference auditorium and shop lots. The current MIC building is located at Jalan Rahmat, Chow Kit, 50350 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.

No details on the cost of the building or the start of construction were made available at the time of writing. – Aug 20, 2023
