Nexagate offers zero-cost cybersecurity solutions during MCO

SINCE the start of the Movement Control Order (MCO), information technology firm Nexagate Sdn Bhd has been providing virtual-ready cybersecurity services by establishing a Covid-19 Cyber Task Force, which provides zero-cost cybersecurity solutions and services to help those in need during the MCO, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

“We’re all in this together, now more than ever. Your team is likely in full-on disaster recovery mode, scrambling resources to ensure business can continue as usual and Nexagate might be able to help take some work off your plate and minimise your security risks as you focus on availability for your remote workforce,” managing director Khairil Effendy Ahmad Dhman Huri told Bernama today.

The company’s Cybersecurity Incident Response team is ready to help if companies notice anything suspicious or get hit with a ransomware attack, he added.

“Even if it’s outside of the scope of what Nexagate covers, we’ll jump on Google Meet/Zoom and provide consultation on investigation and recovery to the best that we can, as our experts are versed in a wide array of security technologies,” he said.

Meanwhile, its Remote Security Health Check team of consultants may schedule a network health check remotely to scan for potential vulnerabilities.

“This will provide your organisation with a snapshot of possible attack vectors within the IT infrastructure. Our consultants may also suggest the necessary steps to be taken by your IT personnel to close the gap,” said Khairil Effendy.

He said Nexagate also offers advice on information security and business continuity.

“Just call our risk and compliance consultant for a quick chat on concerns where processes are involved.

“We can provide advisory on security best practices in the areas of information security and business continuity, to help companies improve their organisation’s processes and ensure safe communications during this unprecedented situation,” he said.

Nexagate also offers support on securing remote connections, Khairil Effendy said.

“If firms have virtual private network (VPN) deployment resources or expertise issues, they only need to schedule a conference call with our team to ensure proper deployment is being made and certain solutions are put in place to ensure only secure devices can be connected to the organisation’s internal network,” he said.

He said Nexagate can offer its in-house NSI Unified Security and/or NSV Secure VPN solutions free for two months.

Nexagate can also turn on features such as VPN with Network Access Control, Asset Discovery, Vulnerability Management, Compliance Management, Web Security and Endpoint Protection.

Nexagate’s Covid-19 Cyber Task Force, which took effect on April 1, hopes that its contribution will ease organisations’ cybersecurity concerns during these trying times. — May 5, 2020, Bernama
