JOHOR PKR II vice chairman Jimmy Puah Wee Tse insisted that allegations that Prime Minister (PM) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reshuffled the Cabinet due to PKR’s internal scheming are not reasonable.
Puah said the party does not have two camps as some people have said, and there is no hidden agenda behind the PM’s actions.
He, who is also the PKR Pulai branch leader, added that the allegations were completely baseless and that the reshuffle was made for the benefit of the people.
“I think this allegation is unreasonable and has no merit. I don’t see any camp in the PKR, no camp of Anwar or PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli.
“There is only one camp in PKR. I don’t see any planning, this reshuffle so that government services run smoother for Malaysians,” he said to the local media in Johor.
After Anwar announced he would proceed with a Cabinet reshuffle, there have been allegations that the new line-up of ministers only aims to strengthen Anwar’s position as PM.
There were also allegations of a tussle between Anwar and the then-health minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa. It was said that she would become a victim in the reshuffle exercise, but while Dr Zaliha lost the post of health minister, she was appointed Federal Territories Minister. – Dec 17, 2023
