Managing director Wan Mohd Hafiz Wan Mohd Ariffin said the company aims to involve 1,000 entrepreneurs in its Batikpreneur programme by year-end under which participants promote its products online with postage handled by Noor Arfa staff, he told Bernama here today (Feb 5).
The scheme, started last year, already has 100 participants. The company is also targeting to get 1,000 online influencers, including singers, actors, Instagrammers and YouTubers to model its batik by year-end.
Noor Arfa began operations in Chendering here in 1980, and now has 200 workers. It also offers batik painting and batik terap (copper mould) workshops at its Noor Arfa Craft Complex in Chendering.
The company has three sales branches – at Dataran Shahbandar, Kuala Terengganu; Sultan Mahmud Shah airport in Kuala Nerus, and Busana@ Menara MARA in Kuala Lumpur. – Feb 5, 2020, Bernama
