Nor Azimah appointed as new CEO of CCM

KUALA LUMPUR: Nor Azimah Abd Aziz has been appointed as the seventh CEO of the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM), effective tomorrow. She replaces Dr Azman Hussin.

CCM, in a statement today, said Nor Azimah, who was previously deputy CEO (Corporate Services), has extensive experience in various fields, including corporate law and enforcement.

It added that Nor Azimah began her career in CCM in 2003 as general manager of the Department of Policy, Planning and Corporate Development and was appointed as deputy CEO (Regulatory and Enforcement) on May 1, 2016.

Before joining CCM, she had served as a law lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and also as a lawyer, according to the statement.

It added that Nor Azimah was admitted as an advocate and solicitor in 1992 and is a law graduate from Institut Teknologi Mara (now UiTM) and also holds a Master of Business Law degree from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK. – April 30, 2020, Bernama
