WITH former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad continuing his assault on his protégé turned nemesis Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak nearing the Johor state election, netizens were divided over the nonagenarian’s attacks which seemed to have not affected the latter’s popularity.
“You can throw whatever at him but he won’t give a damn, really. Simply because he has many worshippers.
“He just needs to be in jail already. That’s it. Silence him & his followers once and for all,” said user Raha Ghazali.

Netizen Kamzam retorted with a screenshot, saying changing Governments is like changing a trash can, where the rubbish still remains.
Yesterday, Mahathir released another letter addressed to Johor voters, warning them that if Najib comes into power again, the country would be controlled by a kleptocrat to perpetuate plundering.
“The foreign dailies called Najib a plundering idiot. He has no shame and trying to regain power in the belief that it would save him from prosecution.
“I wish to remind all that at the height of the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal, Najib’s own brother, Tan Sri Nazir Razak had urged me to do something about the crime.
“Nazir wrote so much on the scandal and crimes committed by his brother. The former and his family did that because they felt ashamed and guilty,” Astro Awani reported the Langkawi MP as saying.
It is to note that the Court of Appeal had upheld the guilty verdict issued by the High Court on Najib SRC International case.
Judge Datuk Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil, in delivering the court’s decision, also admonished Najib in his verdict, calling the 1MDB scandal “a national embarrassment”.

On that note, several netizens also questioned Mahathir on why he kept harping on Najib’s transgression while leaving out Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who betrayed the nonagenarian.
