NATIONAL Unity Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique has been tested positive for COVID-19, right after former law minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz was confirmed to have contracted it as well.
“Following the report, Halimah will be quarantined and treated at a public health facility in Johor Bahru.
“During the time, the minister will continue monitoring and ensure the ministry continues to offer the best of services to the public,” the ministry said, in a statement.
It added that Halimah also tendered an apology for the inconvenience caused and thanked those who have prayed for her speedy recovery.
Halimah is the fifth minister to contract COVID-19, after Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Datuk Seri Rina Harun, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin and deputy minister Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin. – Jan 19, 2021.
