THE number of new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia is still a bit too high for comfort, registering at 1,317 today, as announced by the Health Ministry.
Out of all the states within the country, Sarawak continues to become the elephant in the room, registering the highest increase at 351 new cases.
Other states still within the hundreds include Selangor, trailing behind at 303, along with Kuala Lumpur (116), Penang (112) and Sabah (109).
Apart from the new cases, there has also been four deaths today, bringing the total to 1,333.
However, 1,052 patients were discharged today, adding to the cumulative number of 345,005.
There is also a high number of patients that are still in intensive care units (188), with 84 of them still in need of ventilator support. – April 12, 2021
