Oasis Harvest builds integrated biz ecosystem with sector re-classification

MAIN Board- listed food & beverage (F&B) player Oasis Harvest Corporation Bhd (formerly Dolphin International Bhd) has unveiled its successful re-classification under Bursa Malaysia’s Consumer Products & Services sector, specifically within the Travel, Leisure & Hospitality sub-sector.

The exercise which came into effect on Monday (Jan 13) signifies a pivotal milestone as Oasis evolves to provide a broader spectrum of offerings that cater to a growing and diverse stakeholder base.

The reclassification reflects Oasis Harvest’ complete transformation from its legacy operations in palm oil machinery to building an inter-connected ecosystem of offerings that enhances stakeholder value while positioning the group to capitalise on Malaysia’s thriving consumer-driven economy.

“This re-classification reflects our commitment to expanding beyond F&B and building a comprehensive ecosystem that includes travel, leisure and hospitality,” commented Oasis Harvest’s executive director Ch’ng Eu Vern.

“By leveraging our expertise in F&B and aligning it with these complementary sectors, we aim to create unique and innovative experiences that cater to the evolving needs of our stakeholders.”

In line with this diversification, Oasis Harvest is actively exploring acquisitions of complementary brands and assets that align with its vision of creating an integrated ecosystem.

The group is also considering advanced operational models such as cloud kitchens to expand its F&B footprint while improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Concurrently, Oasis is enhancing customer engagement through robust customer relationship management systems, thus ensuring loyalty across its growing portfolio of offerings.

“Our goal is to become a leading player that connects the dots between F&B, travel, leisure and hospitality. By building a synergistic ecosystem, we’re creating a sustainable platform that delivers greater value to our customers, partners and shareholders.” added Ch’ng.

Recall that in mid-December 2024, Oasis Harvest has unveiled its strategic direction in the F&B industry by focusing on targeted acquisitions and innovative operational models to enhance its market presence.

Them group currently operates two brands: the Uncle Don’s chain which has a solid presence with 20 outlets across the Klang Valley and Verona, an Italian restaurant in Petaling Jaya.

With monthly revenues of RM700,000 to RM800,000 and profit margins of 10% to 15%, these brands have become key contributors to Oasis’ operations.

At 3.05pm, Oasis Harvest was untraded at 17 sen which gave the company a market capitalisation of RM25 mil. – Jan 16, 2025
