PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan urged all eligible voters in Kelantan to go out and vote in the state elections. A sign that the party is unsettled with a lower than expected turnout.
While the party suddenly announced that it was changing its menteri besar in Kelantan, it is now facing a form of protest.
Takiyuddin stated that now is not the time to protest against the election process or attempt to spoil votes. He also added that every vote is important and not voting denies the people their own rights as Malaysian citizens.
“Go out and cast your vote.”
Voting started at 8am in the six states. Kelantan is registering the lowest turnout among the six states.
Furthermore, PAS has urged voters from the party, Bersatu and Gerakan to come out to vote as soon as possible, without being bound by a specific time, as long as it falls within the designated voting hours between 8 am and 6 pm, according to news portal Berita Harian.
