Of karma, frog hopping and time for Zuraida to quit politics for good

NETIZENS seem to be both unforgiving and unanimous that Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has made the right decision to drop the axe on its president-designate Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin (and 10 others) yesterday (Dec 27) amid a leadership struggle with the party’s incumbent president and Julau MP Datuk Larry Sng.

In fact, they have a gala time poking fun at PBM president aspirant who was eventually shown the exit door by the party’s disciplinary committee for failing to respond to a show-cause letter issued to them on Dec 19.

For the record, Sng has emerged the sole PBM victor during the recently concluded 15th General Election (GE15).

While Marcia Rajalumar deemed PBM as having made the right decision to terminate the membership of Zuraida and Co, a cheeky BK NG snubbed the former Ampang MP who party-hopped from PKR to Bersatu at the height of the Sheraton Move saga for “failing to learn from Moo PN (Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) on how to stage a robbery using the backdoor”.

A bit demeaning yet Tiny Phil Sinnappan advised the former plantation industries and commodities minister to take a permanent break from politics “and concentrate on selling nasi lemak or something else by the roadside”.

“Only wants to be a leader and not an ordinary member … So better do own business and be your own boss” was how he chided Zuraida.

Joelson Jlw attributed Zuraida’s current fate to karma, justifying how she has made “the stupid decision to leave PKR” while Jayum Jawan suggested that Zuraida who lost her deposit in her quest to defend her Ampang parliamentary seat during the GE15 to set up a new party “so that she need no longer be led by a kiddo”.

Adding more insult to injury, Benang Emas was wondering what curse Zuraida was up to given that “she never stick long with all the parties that she joined”.

Mallika Shan reminded Zuraida that she was never the founder of PBM “but only hopped there after leaving Bersatu and straight away eyeing the presidency and being a nuisance”. “Good riddance that she got booted out,” quipped the netizen.

Freddie Lay is spot on that retribution is getting the better of Zuraida for “greedy people will always be losers” while Chandler Ross is rejoicing that “it is better for the frog to lose her deposit than to keep it” while wishing Zuraida “Bye bye! Bye bye! Bye bye!”

Pete Ho summed up Zuraida’s departure from PBM best: “Good riddance and sayonara Makcik Katak (Aunty Frog). Hope we never see traitors like you in politics ever again.” – Dec 28, 2022
