Padang Terap MP ridiculed for tagging Saifuddin’s fashion choice in Kedah

PADANG Terap-PAS MP Nurul Amin Hamid is notorious for stirring up controversy on Twitter.

However, his latest remarks may have pushed the boundaries of his notoriety to a whole new level, drawing more criticism and disdain from Twitter users.

The MP was asking users and followers on Twitter what the meaning of Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail wearing a yellow Malay outfit during yesterday’s Rumah Terbuka Madani Malaysia was.

The event was graced by the presence of the Kedah Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah who wore the traditional yellow costume. The MP perhaps thought the Home Minister was wrong in doing so.

However, Twitter users are never kind to Nurul Amin and this time around, they went on a rampage, criticising him for what they see as a lack of knowledge.

In response to his tweet, a Twitter user showed support, saying Saifuddin should not have worn the same colour with the Sultan.

While some are saying the MP is wrong for posting such tweets, they also say the Palace in Kedah did not make any remarks on the colours sported by the Home Minister.

User @faizalriduan added:

what he said is the guidelines on what type of yellow a person is allowed to wear in the presence of a King or Sultan.

Another user went ballistic against the MP. — April 30, 2023
