Pakatan’s Parliament march: Are you guys itching to create a new COVID-19 cluster?

By Andrew Seah Teck Chye

MY family and I watched in disbelief as Opposition MPs, members of the media and others gathered around in Dataran Merdeka and then, outside Parliament.

What kind of message are these MPs trying to give to the people? Why were the standard operating procedures (SOP) not adhered to, especially on social distancing?

In their greed for power, they seem to have forgotten everything and putting themselves, the media and others at risk. Are we going to hear about the Parliament cluster soon?

Why can’t these people be patient and wait for the pandemic to ease, before pursuing their quest for power?

Sooner or later, we will go to the polls, then let the rakyat decide. To my family and I, the ones who help us the most now are going to get our votes, certainly not the trouble makers.

I just cannot make sense of what happened this morning or the Lawan protest – these are all just man-made breeding grounds for COVID-19.

These politicians need to understand – we do not care anything about politics now.

As far as the people are concerned, we are suffering and Prime Minister Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin is giving us aid – that is all that matters.

If these Opposition MPs were so keen to fight for our rights, then why did they waste the first three days of the Parliament sitting on utter nonsense?

To my family and I, this is all just unnecessary and showcases Pakatan’s sheer greed for power.

Pull yourselves together, set aside differences and help the Government, so that the latter can help us through these trying times. That is what we need now. – Aug 2, 2021.
