NASCENT Parti Hati Rakyat Malaysia (HATI) is seemingly testing the invisibility of Ridhuan Tee Abdullah with a fourth police report lodged on Sept 9 against the provocative Muslim convert preacher “who always behave more Muslim than full-blooded Malays while having severed his Chinese ancestry and culture ties”.
The latest point of contention is that the Muafakat Nasional deputy president had in a Sept 5 social media post vilified the DAP-rule Penang state government for making the Hungry Ghost Festival a state heritage.
“What’s happening? Starving ghosts which aren’t visible and don’t exist being made a state heritage?” Ridhuan had penned on his Facebook page to the cheer and fascination of the rightist fraternity who hailed him as an ustaz.
“Even a country as big as China doesn’t upkeep a lively heritage such as this. Is this Malaysia’s true identity?”
“This apparently has been a normality for Ridhuan who has incessantly mocked and insulted the non-Muslim community especially his own Chinese roots to incite racial hatred,” stated HATI president Chan Tse Yuen in his police report lodged at the Batu 9 Cheras police station.
As such, I’ was forced to lodge three previous police reports against him (Ridhuan) on Nov 3, 2025 followed by Jan 29 and Aug 18 this year.
Incidents cited in the three reports paint Ridhuan as both a ‘hardcore offender’ and ‘staunch instigator’ who frequently disrupts societal harmony and well-being while ripping apart national unity.
Delving on his latest police report, the former MCA deputy youth wing chief who founded HATI in June 2025 as a political alternative for voters who feel frustrated with the current unity government listed down four wrongdoings with regard to Ridhuan’s latest hungry ghost festival tirade:
- He has ruined the nation’s foundation by poisoning the mind of Malays (Muslims) while fanning the flames of racism against the Chinese by spreading all-round hatred through rejection, erasure and nullification of the Chinese identity in the form of Hungry Ghost Festival celebration.
- In his “ghosts which are not visible” statement, Ridhuan has challenged, contradicted and insulted the credibility of Rukun Negara’s first principle which is “Belief in God”. Worse still, he has insulted, humiliated and belittled the supremacy and integrity of the Federal Constitution.
- Through his claim of “ghosts which are not visible”, Ridhuan has also clearly mocked, belittled and insulted the Chinese cultural identity while inciting racial sentiment within Malaysia’s plural society.
- In essence, Ridhuan has disrespected the Rukun Negara and the Federal Constitution by not being loyal to his nation or having betrayed his motherland.
“As such. I call on the police to open an investigation paper on Ridhuan soonest so that the Attorney-General can pursue the appropriate action to safeguard the harmony, well-being and national unity of the country,” insisted the University of London-trained lawyer.
However, Chan who left MCA on June 19 last year after 46 years in MCA (first joined in 1979) claimed that the authorities have thus far yet to act on his previous three reports which only “makes the public believing that the arrogant Ridhuan has a ‘golden immunity amulet” and is above the law”.
“My reports insinuate that by mentioning Ridhuan’s name, the reaction of Malaysian Chinese is almost unanimous with a bitter and harsh tone,” lamented Chan who runs his law practice under Chan Tse Yuen & Co.
Therefore, I solemnly remind you (the relevant authorities) that the spark of a star can be enough to ignite a wildfire.
It’s essential to stop Ridhuan from inciting racial sentiment at will, thus preventing racial and religious extremism to escalate into an uncontrollable and disastrous situation.
If the authorities fail to take action for the sake of religious harmony, social stability and national unity, HATI will definitely pursue its own legal action. – Sept 13, 2026
