PAS leaders are defending caretaker Kedah’s Menteri Besar (MB) Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor after his apology to the Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah but netizens do not seem to be impressed by the latter.
PAS spiritual leader Tuan Guru Datuk Hashim Jasin was the first to come out in support of the caretaker Kedah MB saying the latter had an aura that attracted public support. He added that this was due to Sanusi’s ability to multitask.
“Allah (God) has sent an MB to Kedah who has experience in various fields, even though he does not come from a religious background, he is able to deliver sermons on Fridays,” said Hashim.
“Sanusi is someone who can work around the clock. His aura in Kedah is particularly strong although the language he uses may be rough for some people.”
Besides Hashim, PAS Kedah Commissioner Datuk Ahmad Yahaya described Sanusi as a ‘wow factor’ who can garner public support in the upcoming state election on Aug 12.
Today, PAS Deputy President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man stated that Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) are solely focused on attacking Sanusi.
“The focus of PH and BN for the upcoming state election seems to be only on Kedah, while Kelantan and Terengganu, which are also under PAS administration, are quiet without any campaign activities.
“It’s as if this election is solely about Sanusi, why? Because the leadership (Sanusi) is outstanding and his achievements have reached Kedah (the attacks by PH-BN).”
On Friday (July 14), Sanusi sent a letter seeking forgiveness to the Selangor Sultan and explaining the true meaning of his statements.
A video clip posted by a Twitter influencer @lady_bugg11 showed Sanusi in an interview with former health minister Khairy Jamaludin. Sanusi is heard saying that during the cooperation between PAS and the DAP, they had an agreement.

“You don’t know where they signed? If you don’t then just sit down and be quiet!”
Sanusi is seen describing how the documents were signed, adding that the DAP agreed to respect PAS’s desire to push for Islam in Malaysia.
Nevertheless, Khairy stopped Sanusi when the latter said there was no such agreement between the DAP and PH-BN. Khairy said there was an agreement signed between PH and UMNO for the formation of the unity government.
In the agreement, Khairy stated that the DAP-PH agrees to respect and defend Malay, Bumiputera rights. The reply from Sanusi got Twitter users riled up against the caretaker Kedah MB saying he got fooled by Khairy.

Meanwhile, most of those who commented on the post are saying that Sanusi was dumb in the interview.
