PAS slams J-KOM head honcho as both arrogant and a desperado

PAS has fired back at Community Communications Department (J-KOM) director-general Datuk Mohammad Agus Yusoff, claiming that his belittling of Kelantan which happens to be his state of birth has wiped out his entire credibility in the eyes of fellow Kelantanese.

If he is sincere in voicing the truth because J-KOM in like with his role as civil servant, Kelantan PAS Youth chief Mohamad Kamal Mohamed suggested that Agus should also be fighting to overcome water problems in Selangor, Penang and Pahang.

“Not long after being slammed due to his arrogance and ‘nerve attack’ on the opposition which resulted in Kelantanese rejecting him. Agus has changed his mode by penning his disappointment by harping on his upbringing in a PAS family and 1,001 emotional rants,” Kamal shared on a Facebook post.

“The cheesy issues played by Agus seem to have backfired. The states under PH and BN are also facing a water crisis especially during the dry spell in addition to uncollected garbage during the festive season.”

For context, the Machang-born Agus has lamented how PAS has “totally changed” from the time when he was raised in a PAS family.

“I was supporting PAS until my adulthood although I was never a PAS member. However, its crusade (today) is filled with religious rhetoric and it is riding on religion to gain power,” the J-KOM director-general penned in a Facebook post yesterday (April 26).

J-KOM is a unit under the Prime Minister’s Department aimed at conveying accurate information on the government’s policies to the people.

The former political science lecturer went on to share that when he returned to Kelantan recently to celebrate Hari Raya, there were three issues that were troubling him, namely (i) poor water quality; (ii) narrow and pothole-filled roads, and (iii) rubbish strewn everywhere – which he claimed were among the persistent problems in the PAS-led state.

Moving on, Kamal advised Agus to serve with integrity as a public servant given J-KOM’s expenditure is borne by taxpayers’ money, including Kelantanese.

“Don’t let others ride on you … Don’t try overly hard to render blind support to the PH-BN (Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional) coalition just because you’re on the government payroll,” suggested Kamal.

“Don’t because you want to display the function of the department (J-KOM), you’re willing to sacrifice your academic principles which to me you’re still little smarter than your deputy who is completely a staunch Amanah supporter.”

Added Kamal: “There is no need to run down others to which when they retaliate, you act like a victim. You’ve started badmouthing others again so soon after Ramadan. But thankfully, Kelantanese already know who Agus and J-KOM are, more so the young people.” – April 27, 2023
