PAS trolled for hypocrisy – ‘posing’ with Christmas tree, festive decorations in Ireland, Manchester

MADANI government backers were having a gala tine taking a jibe at PAS after the party’s top brass were seen braving the UK winter chills to be in the presence of Christmas pine tree and other festivity decorations.

This came about as social media influencer JOKER 🔺(@tjerealjoker) recapped sarcastically how PAS which has gone nuts over Muslims posing with Christmas trees/Santa Claus/related artifacts or even to wish Christians a “Merry Christmas” were not walking the talk themselves.

Leading the pack was its ‘sickly’ president Tan Sri Hadi Awang who spoke at the Kelab PAS Ireland’s “An Evening with Tuan Guru Haji Abdul Hadi Awang” on Dec 22, 2018 at the Lucan Spa Hotel in Dublin where the Marang MP addressed his audience for a good half-an-hour.

While one commenter wanted to know whether the trip to Ireland (and more recently Manchester) was “made possible by own money or members’ donation”, another commenter was flabbergasted at Hadi “who had to be to be hand-held to Parliament not to mention having skipped many sessions yet was suddenly in the pink of health when going overseas”.

One non-Muslim commenter even enquired if the hotel or restaurant should be deemed halal or haram given its extensive array of Christmas decorations while pointing to a Free Malaysia Today (FMT) headline which read “Stop Taking Photos with Xmas Deco to Avoid Misunderstandings, Muslims Told”.

A few commenters highlighted PAS’ unmatched hypocrisy that blames everything on DAP yet can arbitrarily declares anything which is haram as halal as in the case of the Timah whiskey brand during the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration.

One commenter further exposed PAS’ hypocrisy by showing how Muslim adults and children were jovially posing with Santa Claus and the Gingerbread Man at the KB Mall in Kota Bahru.

In a related development pro-PH political commentator BULETIN RMS (@RajaMohdShahrim) also hit out at PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari who flew to UK just to attend launching of the Kelab PAS UK by describing such action as “an insult to Islam”.

The launch which took place on Dec 22 at the British Muslim Heritage Centre in Manchester was graced by PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man with the keynote address delivered by the party’s vice-president and Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar a.k.a. Dr Sam.

For the record, Dr Sam recently found himself under scrutiny over a supposed “intellectual and professional dialogue” that was supposed to have taken place in Manchester.

The event, supposedly scheduled for Dec 22, was marketed in publicity materials to discuss the potential of SG4(PAS-ruled states of Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis) to drive Malaysia’s socio-economic agenda.

While the trip was reportedly under the pretext of an “invitation’ from the UK government”, the programme in question was actually held at a restaurant owned by the UK Pakistani community. – Dec 30, 2024
